Advantages of silicone-based lubricants

They are very greasy, slippery, and durable. Precisely because of these properties, they are indispensable, or necessary accessories for anal sex. Due to their durability, the lubricant lasts longer, so it does not need to be reapplied too often.
They are excellent for sex in water! They are harder to rinse off with water, therefore they are the most suitable lube when you want to spice up your sex life somewhere other than just in the bedroom.
They are safe to use with condoms.
Due to their thickness and oiliness, they are also suitable for massages.
Because the lubricant is more durable, its consumption will also be reduced.

Disadvantages of silicone-based lubricants

Silicone lubes are not suitable for use with silicone material toys. ALWAYS use water-based lubricants with your sex toys, as silicone will damage them.
They are harder to remove or clean.

Types of silicone based lubricants

The main difference in silicone lube is primarily in quality, which depends on how much dimethicone the lubricant contains. The greater the presence of dimethicone, the higher the quality of the lubricant. This, of course, also affects the price of the lubricant.

What is dimethicone?

Dimethicone is a colorless silicone that is found practically in almost all cosmetic products. In hair care products, in creams and makeup, and also in silicone-based lubricants. It is a polymer based on silicon and provides an incredibly soft and smooth feeling.

Although opinions on the safety of silicones are divided, it is officially considered that their use is safe and not harmful to health.

How to easily clean or remove lubricant

When removing silicone lubricant, it will require more time, water, and soap. The lubricant will stay a bit longer in the mucous membranes, as it will not be absorbed. It may take a day or two for the lubricant to be completely eliminated.

Clothes or sheets that have come into contact with the lubricant are best cleaned in the washing machine.

If you used your toy, you can easily clean the lubricant with a universal toy cleaner. You can also use warm water and soap, just be careful that the soap is mild and does not contain ingredients that could damage the toy.

Tips for using lube

Before the first use of the lubricant, apply a small amount on your wrist and wait a few minutes. In case of an allergic reaction, immediately stop using it. Store it in a dark and cool place, and out of reach of children.
