Here are a few quick tips:
- Wash latex by hand in lukewarm water and air dry.
- Store latex away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
- When dressing and undressing latex, take your time and do it patiently. Don't rush, as the garment can tear despite its elasticity and in the worst case, it might also injure you.
- All oils are harmful to latex and will damage the material! The exception are silicone lubricants. Therefore, do not apply lotions, self-tanning creams, or sprays to your body before and while wearing latex. Also, do not help yourself with olive or baby oil when dressing, but use a silicone-based lubricant instead.
- While wearing latex, do not use perfumes or antiperspirants, as they often contain a mix of chemicals that can react with the material and destroy the garment.
