Water-based lubricants

Water-based lubricants are the most commonly used type of lube, as they are the mildest and can be used both during sex and in combination with sex toys made of any material.

Their disadvantage compared to silicone-based lubricants is that they are less durable and need to be applied more frequently. On the other hand, cleaning after use is much easier, as they quickly wash off with water.

If you are looking for the most versatile lubricant, then a water-based lube is definitely the most appropriate. We recommend having a bottle of waterbased lube always at hand, as you never know when it will come in handy!

Silicone-based lubricants

Silicone lubricants have a slightly narrower purpose of use, as they are more specific. The possibility of an allergic reaction is slightly higher than with water-based, so we recommend that you first apply a small amount of the new silicone based lubricant on your forearm and wait half an hour to an hour to make sure that your body will accept the lubricant well.

The advantage of using a silicone lube is that they are more resistant to being washed off by water and various bodily fluids, which means they are more durable.

Their biggest disadvantage, however, is that they are not compatible with erotic toys made of silicone (which today constitutes the majority). There can be a reaction that destroys the surface of the toy, making it unusable. Therefore, in combination with sex toys, opt for water-based lubricants, unless they are metal, glass, etc.

Anal lubricants

Anal sex can be one of the most orgasmic experiences, but only if approached correctly. Since the anal opening does not moisturize itself like the vaginal one does, the use of a good anal lubricant is definitely mandatory.
